Early Years Apprentice
As part of a dedicated team of Little Knellies staff you will plan activities which ensure each child is working towards the early learning outcomes. You will have the opportunity to work with a group of children as their key worker alongside larger group activities both within the Nursery setting and specialist lessons, such as Drama, Music and Ballet.

Apprenticeship overview
* Support the activities of all curriculum areas in the classroom.
* Enrollment onto the Level 3 Diploma for The Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator).
* The opportunity to gain valuable childcare experience, working with children aged 3-4 years in a nursery setting.
* 20% 'off the job' learning time.
* Regular training with a local provider.
* An assigned assessor who will complete regular progress reviews.
* The potential for a qualification reward bonus subject to the completion of the Level 3 Diploma.
Key responsibilities
* Support the activities of all curriculum areas in the classroom.
* Work with individuals and groups to support their learning.
* Provide for the general welfare, safeguarding and pastoral care of children.
* Perform organisational and administrative tasks to support the running of the school day.
* Be self-motivated and to liaise with members of staff throughout the school, working effectively as a member of the team.
* Prepare and clear away materials and assist with displays and general classroom organisation and productions.
* Attend educational visits supporting the students' learning and may have the opportunity to attend residential visits.
* Share children's learning through updating Tapestry, report writing and meeting with parents.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience of working in a nursery/preschool setting (desirable), with insight into EYFS requirements
* An ability to build good working relationships with both students and adults.
* Good organisational skills
* Flexibility and creativity
* A passion for supporting children's personal and academic development
* Ability to manage groups of students and support the individual needs of each child in our care
* Friendly and professional
* Proactive and prepared to get involved, including contributing your own ideas.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* GCSE's in English and Maths (or equivalent)

This role is a full time/part time, all year round, work based apprenticeship. The role is offered on a fixed term for the duration of the apprenticeship. Study support for the Level 3 Diploma in Early Years will be provided.
