This role would suit an engineer with an apprenticeship or similar, electrical and hands-on engineering skills skills who is looking for a more varied role with great development opportunities using your engineering, maintenance, commissioning and customer facing skills.
It would be perfect for someone who has done an engineering apprenticeship or similar in industry, has good electrical competence and understanding, hands-on experience working with plant and equipmentand an enthususiatic approach. If you have an interest in PLC's and controls, you will be able to develop that further.
The role will include work at the companies site, some UK and some overseas travel to visit customers - please ask for further information.
The role includes technical challenges and customer interaction, working as part of a customer facingengineering team. Full product training is available.
THE ROLE:
The successful candidate will provide technical support to customers fromthe office / workshop base as well as factory acceptance testing, installation, commissioning, diagnostic and service work.
This will include:
- Customer technical support by phone,email and video.
- Off site and on site faultfinding / diagnosis,problem solving and service work.
- Preparation, installation,commissioning and on-going support of equipment and bespoke turn-key projects.
- Providing responsiveadvice and trainingto customers on equipment operation and maintenance (after product training).
CANDIDATE:
To apply you will need:
- A good electro-mechanical electrical background with hands-on experience of industrial electrical systems and able to work safely. Mechanical engineering competence.
- Able to work safely and methodically.
- Solid hands-on technical, problem solving and fault find / repair skills.
- Ability to read and understanding technical information anddrawings.
- Good communication skills and aprofessional approach over the phone / email and when working with customers on-site.
- Installation and commissioning experience in industrial environments.
A current passport and full UKdriving license. You will enjoy full product training and a varied and interesting workload interacting with a wide range of customers.
