About The Role Pay Details:
Grade 5 SCP 8 – 12, £26,824 to £28,598 per annum (pro rata)
Hours of Work / Working Pattern:
37 hours per week – Monday to Friday
Main Place of Work:
Civic Office, Barry, and other locations in the Vale of Glamorgan as required, including hybrid working.
Role Description To enhance positive and proactive relationships with existing and prospective private landlord partners and letting agents to maintain and increase the supply of private rented housing available to the Council. To maintain a register of suitable temporary accommodation for emergency housing.
About You
Experience of working in housing within the voluntary, statutory, or private sector.
Experience of letting or managing tenancies in the private rented or social housing sector.
Experience supporting customers with financial difficulties.
Experience liaising with statutory, non-statutory, and voluntary agencies.
Knowledge of homelessness legislation and landlord and tenant law.
Understanding of the role and responsibilities of a social landlord.
Knowledge of the private rented sector, especially around Assured Shorthold Tenancies.
Knowledge of the welfare benefits system.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
