Central Recruitment is working with one of the UK’s largest not-for-profit housing associations. Their work includes providing people with a range of support and services to help them overcome barriers associated with age, homelessness, disability or health. Our client is currently recruiting for 3 Support Workers, to work in the Guildford area at a service providing support to individuals with complex needs. * 37.5 hours per week * Monday – Sunday on a rota basis * Shifts: early (07:15-16:15), late (12:15-20:15) and long (08:00-20:00) * Temporary: approx. 2 months * £15.26 per hour (£13.62 plus £1.64 holiday pay) Key responsibilities: * Deliver regular planned reviews of support and risk plans, resulting in support plans * Support residents with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, budgeting, personal care) * Manage crisis situations, relapse and behavioural challenges using de-escalation techniques * Coordinate support with external agencies and attend and contribute to multi-agency and safeguarding meetings * Advocate for residents and support them to attend external appointments * Support move-on pathways into sustainable accommodation * Support residents to maintain tenancies and understand occupancy agreements, manage rent, service charges and arrears and access welfare benefits * Complete referrals, assessments and admissions documentation ...
