Role Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our management team. This is a full-time, permanent, on-site position. The successful candidate will support the hotel by overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring smooth, efficient service across all departments. You will act as the senior manager on duty, leading by example to uphold the highest standards of hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and support the daily operations of the hotel, including reception, housekeeping, food & beverage, and events.
* Supervise and motivate the team to ensure excellent customer service delivery.
* Respond to guest queries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and efficiency.
* Coordinate with department heads to maintain operational standards and resolve issues quickly.
* Monitor health, safety, and hygiene compliance throughout the property.
* Assist with staff training, development, and performance management.
* Support with scheduling, rota management, and recruitment where required.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Proven experience in hospitality management and customer service, including banqueting and conference operations.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Confident in conflict resolution and problem-solving.
* Knowledge of hotel operations and hospitality software.
* Flexibility to work a rota including evenings and weekends.
* Relevant qualifications in hospitality management (desirable but not essential).
