Job Overview
The Apache Tech Pubs Lead role at Boeing will lead the technical publications team for the UK Apache AH Mk 2 program. The incumbent will manage publication development, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement to meet contract requirements in the Unsatisfactory Features Report (UFR) and Air System Document Set.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the Apache AH Mk 2 Publications team to ensure First Time Quality and compliance with quality management system requirements.
* Create support requirements, cost estimates, master schedules, and program implementation plans for documentation activities.
* Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure contract compliance across publication delivery.
* Review technical support publications for grammar, format, style, clarity, and technical accuracy; recommend edits for impact and readability.
* Develop and maintain standards and guidelines for technical document structure and format.
* Serve as subject matter expert for policies, plans, and objectives; provide strategic guidance to management.
Required Qualifications
* Proven experience leading technical publications or documentation teams, preferably in aerospace or defense sectors.
* Deep knowledge of technical documentation processes, standards, and quality management systems, including document configuration, version control, and archival.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with the MoD and other stakeholders.
* Experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, schedules, and budgets.
* Experience with aerospace documentation standards (e.g., MIL‑SPEC, S1000D) and quality management systems.
* Ability to obtain United Kingdom Security Check (UK SC) security clearance.
Eligibility
Ideally, you have a degree in a relevant engineering subject or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
