Support Engineer Position in Aberdeen
We have opened a new vacancy in our Aberdeen support department and are seeking motivated new team members to join us in our Aberdeen office as Support Engineers. A new role focusing more directly on offshore activities is also available.

The Job:
Join a global team of over 30 support engineers from various technical backgrounds, working closely with customers both on-site and remotely to assist with exail product integration and operations. This position offers hands-on experience with a wide range of exail products.
This role provides 24/7 support across industries including civil, scientific, and military sectors, offering variety, challenge, and a sense of adventure. It is based in Aberdeen.
Your Duties and Responsibilities:
* Represent Exail to customers both internally and externally.
* Provide remote support by responding to hotline, email, and customer requests.
* Document, analyze, report, and resolve customer issues, recording all interactions in the database.
* Offer on-site support including pre-survey, installation, commissioning, training, demonstrations, and technical assistance.
* Perform in-situ maintenance and service operations.
* Prepare reports, debriefs, and follow-up actions.
* Operate within the EMEA region and occasionally outside it.
* Collaborate with internal teams to progress support cases.
* Assist sales and project teams during pre-sale and post-sale activities.
* Coordinate with the maintenance team for follow-up on maintenance tasks.
* Work with product teams to enhance knowledge and experience.
* Participate in ongoing training and develop skills related to all supported products.
* Improve and maintain support procedures and tools.
* Share knowledge and develop skills within the team.
Travel:
Approximately 30% of the time, up to 110 days per year.
Candidate Profile:
* At least 3 years of experience working with high-technology products, or a Bachelor's degree/HND in engineering fields such as electronics, robotics, mechanical, or marine sciences.
* Relevant experience or willingness to develop expertise in inertial navigation, acoustic positioning, sonar systems, or related technologies.
* Service-oriented with a results-driven approach to customer satisfaction.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and resourcefulness skills.
* Self-motivated, curious, and able to work independently.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience working in multicultural environments.
* Fluent in English.
