Job Description
Due to our continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee FM Helpdesk Assistant to join our facilities management team.
The role:
You will be the first point of contact for facilities management requirements and administration, providing helpdesk support, working as part of a team and independently. You should have strong administrative skills and a customer-focused approach, offering friendly, proactive service and regular updates to clients.
Key responsibilities include:
* Logging helpdesk calls and ensuring all information is accurate
* Updating CAFM systems with completed PPMs and relevant paperwork
* Coordinating with technicians and subcontractors
* Allocating work orders and liaising with clients on job progress
* Escalating urgent issues to Contracts Managers / Head of FM
* Monitoring helpdesk data to meet KPIs and SLAs
General administration duties:
* Maintaining high-quality records and reports
* Managing finance administration tasks such as purchase orders and invoice checks
* Performing ad hoc duties as required
Skills required:
* Friendly, professional attitude with a focus on customer service
* Willingness to learn and handle queries via phone and email
* Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Good communication skills
* Teamwork and reliability
* Flexibility and a positive attitude
* Interest in facilities management or related services
Qualifications:
* English and Mathematics at C or above
* ICT/Computer Science, Business Studies, Media Studies (optional but beneficial)
* Relevant work experience or volunteering in customer-facing roles
