Are you an experienced Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer looking for a challenging new role in Attleborough? We're hiring for a full-time, permanent position with an attractive 5 on 5 off rotating shift pattern (days and nights) and a competitive salary of £46,350.
As an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer, you'll be crucial in maintaining and repairing a variety of industrial equipment, ensuring smooth manufacturing operations and strict adherence to health and safety standards. You will provide effective and efficient mechanical and electrical support throughout the Factory
Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair faults on manufacturing and production equipment, including reactive support in the factory.
Contribute to proactive and preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Deliver high-quality, safe, and efficient electrical engineering work, including designing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
Lead minor electrical projects from design to commissioning.
Perform preventive maintenance work orders.
Implement safe temporary repairs when production restrictions apply, informing the Shift Leader/Supervisor and arranging permanent repairs.
Ensure routine maintenance is carried out to support an upturn in OEE.
Carry out maintenance activities, ensuring that the manufacturing team achieves 100% compliance to the production plan by minimising engineering downtime.
Work confidently both autonomously and as part of a site-wide engineering team.
Keep the workshop and tool lockers tidy and secure.
Complete Job reports/tickets each shift.
Liaise with production and prioritise work in the best interests of production and the company.
Fully engage in and coach the effective development of themselves and their colleagues in their upskilling on their lines
Requirements:
City & Guilds/BTEC Level 3 Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or an Electrical Engineering Qualification at Level 3.
3 years plus experience in an FMCG environment.
Engagement in developing and maintaining a world-class engineering department.
Able to exercise initiative and prioritise duties accordingly.
The ability to think quickly and logically to respond to an emergency.
Excellent observation, an eye for detail.
Exceptional communication to work in partnership with others.
Multi-skilled engineering apprenticeship (desirable).
Health and Safety at IOSH/NEBOSH Level (desirable)
