Working Pattern
Week 1
Monday to Wednesday 07:00-15:00, Friday 07:00-15:00, Saturday and Sunday 09:00-17:00
Week 2
Monday 13:30-21:30, Wednesday to Friday 13:30-21:30
Week 3
Monday to Friday 07:00-15:00
Week 4
Monday to Friday 13:30-21:30
What’s involved
* Ensuring the effective preparation of sterile consumables (dressings, linen, instruments, and equipment) by the process of decontamination, inspection assembly and packing within predefined quality standards.
* Rigorously checking, washing, laying up and packing sets of theatre instruments to meet contract specifications within predefined quality standards.
* Safely operating and monitoring machines and equipment (washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic and sterilizers) effectively.
* Ensuring that repairs and missing instruments or equipment are recorded and logged on the Tracking and Traceability computer system (SynergyTrak).
* Ensuring that repaired instruments or equipment are returned to stock or the appropriate coded sets or the Trust’s appointed person.
