To grow Stryker's Joint Replacement business by promoting Hip and Knee products to Orthopaedic Surgeons and optimizing customer service, growing existing accounts through technical expertise.
The Product Support Specialist – Manual & Robotic provides clinical product support to end users along with guidance and assistance during Mako surgical procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Demonstrates outstanding ethics, treats customers and employees with respect, and represents the company positively.
* Communicates benefits of products and their clinical applications.
* Acts with integrity and delivers on commitments within required timescales.
* Constructs a basic business plan with input from mentor/manager; plans daily, weekly, and monthly activities in partnership with mentor and RSM.
* Develops rapport and understands the importance of relationships in selling; uses open questioning to ascertain customer needs.
* Understands multiple stakeholders in decision-making and asks appropriate questions to identify them.
* Works under close supervision, keeps supervisor informed, and overcomes results challenges without serious impact on revenue or budget.
* Achieves sales targets and KPIs, plans and prioritizes activities, supports existing customers, and develops strategies to strengthen the company's position.
* Maintains good communication and negotiation skills to ensure profitable relationships.
* Conducts market observations, addresses challenges, and participates in organizational meetings.
* Administers IT-based customer database/CRM tools.
Clinical/Technical Expertise:
* Provides front-line clinical and technical support during surgical procedures.
* Trains surgeons and hospital staff on the use of Stryker’s Mako robot, including setup, intra-operative activities, and troubleshooting.
* Prepares pre-operative CT scans, assists in implant planning, and solves technical issues.
* Collaborates effectively with Field Service team for maintenance and issue resolution.
* Builds knowledge of implants, instrumentation, and robotic applications to become a trusted resource.
* Educates on clinical benefits and best practices confidently and respectfully.
* Completes required training and obtains certification for robotic and manual procedures.
* Develops competence in complex primary and revision hip and knee procedures.
