You will need to have experience of working with adults in need of health and social care support and it is desirable that you aspire to become a social worker for adults via the Trafford Council Social Work degree apprenticeship. Trafford Council offer 3 apprenticeships each year, to enable workers to undertake the 30-month Social Work degree course for working with adults. The successful applicant will be eligible to apply for this opportunity after 12 months in post.
You will manage a varied caseload, which will include undertaking support with accommodation and follow up reviews/ re-assessments. You will deliver exceptional social care to adult service users and their carers which enables them to make their own decisions. You will need to operate within an agreed performance management and budgetary framework. A significant part of your role will be to identify risks to the individual and respond appropriately ensuring any safeguarding issues are addressed.
