Overview
Special Needs Teacher for the SEN Provision at a mainstream Primary School in the BS11 area of Bristol. September start, full-time. The school is a two-form entry with a dedicated SEN unit supporting children with ASD and Speech and Language needs.
Role and Responsibilities
* Deliver pre-planned core and foundation subjects across the school in the SEN provision.
* Assess children’s learning and development and provide feedback to Class Teachers.
* Work closely with the SENCO and Class Teachers across year groups.
* Maintain high expectations of the pupils and adapt lessons to meet individual needs.
* Communicate clearly as a team and liaise with other Class Teachers.
* Resource and implement creative activities to meet pupil needs.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of the Primary Curriculum.
* Ability to support children with ASD and Speech and Language needs.
* Team player with effective communication skills.
