About the Role
Key Responsibilities
* Day-to-day management of the tax department, including workflow, team guidance, and quality assurance
* Preparation and submission of personal tax compliance for a varied client base (high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, professionals)
* Reviewing and overseeing the work of team members to ensure technical accuracy and compliance
* Providing coaching, mentoring, and ongoing support to junior staff
* Advising on complex personal tax issues (capital gains tax, inheritance tax, residency)
* Maintaining strong client relationships through proactive advice and identification of advisory opportunities
* Keeping up to date with personal tax legislation and HMRC requirements
* Ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met efficiently and effectively
What We’re Looking For
* ATT qualified (minimum); CTA or equivalent experience highly desirable
* At least 5 years’ UK accountancy practice experience in personal tax
* Demonstrable experience managing a portfolio of clients and reviewing team output
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high professional standards
* Confident communicator and effective team leader
* Excellent organisational and workflow management skills
Technical Skills & Qualifications
* Comprehensive knowledge of personal tax compliance and advisory
* Familiarity with HMRC requirements and evolving tax legislation
* Experience with tax software and digital recordkeeping (desirable)
