We are looking for a forward thinking and innovative manager to join our Legal & Democratic Services Team in the role of Democratic Services Manager. You will be responsible to the Head of Legal & Democratic Services and responsible for the leadership of the staff in Committee Services, the Mayoralty Service and Caretaking / Printing Service. You will be a key contact for the Council’s elected members and co-ordination of Council meetings including Full Council, the Executive, Corporate Leadership Team alongside other committee meetings. The position requires extensive experience of undertaking complex administrative work and a high level of communication skills both written and oral to work successfully with Council’s elected members and officers. Attendance at evening meetings is a regular feature for this position. Pendle is in Lancashire’s scenic Pennines, close to the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, and Manchester.
