We currently have the following opportunity: Teacher of Mathematics - PKC13052 £33,594 - £50,589 Perth Academy An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Kinross High School as a Teacher of Mathematics. This is a full-time permanent post, however applications for part time work will also be considered. You will be joining a team of high performing practitioners who have a wealth of experience in Mathematics. There is a strong commitment to ensuring that young people engage with the subject and achieve at the highest possible level. They recognised a ‘highly purposeful learning environment’ and stated that staff development is supported by a ‘sustained focus on pedagogy across the school’. We benefit from modern purpose-built teaching facilities with excellent transport links. Our school is easily commutable within the central belt of Scotland. Interviews for this post will be held on Friday 26 September 2025 which will include a lesson observation and panel interview. The lesson observation is for an S3 class and should last for 40 minutes. Topic - Consolidation of the following Es & Os: 1. Converts fractions, decimal fractions or percentages into equivalent fractions, decimal fractions or percentages. MNU – 3-07a 2. Chooses the most efficient form of fractions, decimal fractions and percentages when making calculations. MNU – 4-07a This is a BGE class who are at Level 3, extending into level 4. Skills & Experience Required Our ideal candidate is an excellent classroom practitioner. You should be a team player, a strategic thinker and be passionate about working with young people.
