Level 3 EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant - Full Time
Location: Mossley, Tameside
Pay: £103 per day
Contract: Full-time, ongoing
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Mossley, Tameside is seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is focused on supporting a growing number of SEN children within the Early Years Foundation Stage, as part of the school's commitment to providing an inclusive and nurturing start to education for all pupils. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring these children receive the tailored support they need to thrive both socially and academically.
Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with a range of additional needs including speech and language delays, ASD, and global developmental delay.
* Deliver adapted learning activities, support emotional regulation, encourage communication and social interaction, and promote independence in daily routines.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support pupils and contribute to an inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
* Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or Early Years.
* Relevant experience supporting children with special educational needs in an EYFS setting.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
* Calm, nurturing, and patient approach with a good understanding of early child development and a strong team ethic.
* Commitment to safeguarding and safe recruitment practices, with willingness to comply with KCSIE 2024 guidance. Overseas police checks may be required where applicable.
