Senior Surveyor / Associate - Rating (London)
Are you an experienced Rating professional ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for a driven Senior Surveyor or Associate to join a high-performing Rating team in London, offering the chance to play a key role in its continued growth and success.
The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a diverse client base including landlords, occupiers, investors, and developers. You'll deliver expert rating advice across a wide range of property types while building your own client relationships and contributing to business development.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Deliver tailored appeal and mitigation strategies for a variety of clients and property sectors
2. Manage and expand your own client portfolio, building strong professional relationships
3. Provide rating advice across the property lifecycle, including:Challenging assessments through the CCA processAdvice on empty rates, payments, and completion notices
4. Collaborate across teams (Agency, Investment, Development) to identify opportunities and promote services
5. Represent clients in Valuation Tribunal proceedings (and ideally Upper Tribunal)
What We're Looking For
6. MRICS qualified with strong Rating experience
7. Proven track record in appeals and negotiations
8. In-depth knowledge of rating legislation and case law
9. Confident in inspections, reporting, and tribunal representation
10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
11. Commercially aware with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset
12. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
13. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
14. Competent with Microsoft Office and Rating software
