Sales Development Representative

Salary Range: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Permanent, Full Time

Location: Hybrid with a minimum of three days per week at our office in Leatherhead, Surrey.

About the job

As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll be the key to us unlocking doors with SME, Mid-Cap & Enterprise Businesses starting conversations on how can help them cut down on administration, help retain & engage their employees to really get the most out of all their benefits. You’ll be the first person contacts at these businesses hear from, and it’ll be your job to build relationships and nurture them through to face to face meetings with our Business Development Directors.


Areas of responsibility

* B2B outbound appointment setting with key business stakeholders – you will manage a pipeline of existing and past prospects, with the goal of re-engaging the customer and nurturing them through to a stakeholder meeting
* Pursuing your monthly target to support the commercial team’s overall target
* Cultivating meaningful relationships with your prospects via phone, email, networking events, etc
* Identify and nurture leads to successfully pass onto the Enterprise Sales team to meet face to face
* Working closely with the Marketing team to grow our leads pipeline and maximise visibility in the reward and benefits space
* Book meetings with 250+ employee target companies through outbound activity
* Maintain awareness of and comply with all legal requirements and company policies, including those relating to information security and data protection
* Responsibly handle, classify and manage all information, whether internal or received from external parties.


Key competencies and skills required for this role

Tele Sales: A self starter who is good at opening doors, gaining attention of buyers and securing appointments

Commercial Awareness: Able to gain a deep understanding of the needs of the prospects and ensure that sales calls have the desired outcome

Self-starter: A natural Self starter who is results focussed

Business Intelligence: Know all about Zest product and services. Ability to learn everything about the competition and market. Understand our competitive advantages and USPs.

Technology: Adept in using all standard MS Office systems, Hubspot and other Zest tools. Ability to understand the advantages of the technology that underpins Zest and competitive weakness

Drive, Energy and Determination: Winning mentality. Able to create a culture of over-performance. A self-starter, able to work under their own initiative and achieve their objectives. Highly effective at completing work on time. High levels of drive, energy, enthusiasm and integrity. Tenacity to achieve goals.

Experience / Skills Required

* You have 1 years+ experience in B2B sales, and feel at home on the phone
* You’re patient, persistent and you like working with people
* You pay attention to the details
* You are a creative and experienced social seller, who leverages B2B social networks (LinkedIn, Twitter) to get your message across and engage potential clients
* You think on your feet. You like learning new things, and you can learn quickly. When things change, you know how to roll with the punches
* You like numbers. Hitting monthly targets gets you excited and gives you a sense of accomplishment
* You’re organised, and always thinking one step ahead. You can organise your day, week, month & quarter with skill and efficiency
* You are motivated and driven. You volunteer for new challenges without waiting to be asked
* You’re going to take ownership of the time you spend with us and truly make a difference.


Additional Information

* Competitive salary, with comprehensive range of flexible benefits
* Bonus plan based upon sales revenue targets / volumes that drive recurring revenue growth

* Normal working hours 37.5 per week as per Ts&Cs
* Office based with hybrid working
