Main Responsibilities

We are seeking experienced Health, Wellbeing and Social Care practitioners to join our Assistant Lecturer programme. This is a 12-month programme under the supervision of an experienced member of staff. The career pathway once successfully completed will be progression to a Lecturer role.

What You’ll Be Doing:

* Deliver classes and assess student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met.
* Provide academic support and guidance to students as necessary
* Assist Module Leaders and other senior staff in the planning of lectures, tutorials, practical’s and other classes.
* Develop, update, and improve course materials as appropriate and necessary.
* Keep up to date with best practice in teaching and learning, and ensure that your teaching reflects best practice and embeds technologies that enhance the learning experience.
* Undertake a reflective programme of staff development which includes teaching observations, directed study and workshop participation.


Requirements

About You:

* You will hold at least Master’s degree in your academic field, or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of professional achievement.
* Previous experience of working in the health industry as a health practitioner
* Demonstrate professional conduct in all interactions with staff and students.
* Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
* Attention to detail and accurate reporting.
* Ability to maintain thorough and organised student records.
* Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines.
* Highly motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
* Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
