About the Role
As a key member of our EV Team, the Technical Surveyor will:
* Lead the surveying and engineering aspects of costing, proposals, and implementation for all EV projects, collaborating with internal Drax teams, external partners, DNOs, TPIs, and customers.
* Interpret customer specifications and requirements to produce detailed functional design specifications.
* Review and select accurate technology solutions for implementation.
* Conduct technical site surveys to ensure precise design and pricing of EV installations, optimizing each installation for cost and efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with all standards, policies, and environmental plans, meeting the highest legislative standards.
* Think outside the core Electrical discipline, integrating a multi-disciplinary approach into coordinated solutions.
Who We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you’ll ideally have:
* Experience in the installation, design, or maintenance of EV charging equipment.
* Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and understand customer needs.
* Experience working on LV and HV projects, along with site experience (survey/install/setting to work).
* Knowledge of ‘The Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation’ (IET Standards) and compliance with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
