Role Overview
London North West Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Gastroenterology Registrar to join a team of Gastroenterologists based at Ealing Hospital. The Ealing Endoscopy unit is JAG accredited and performs approximately 5,000 GI endoscopies per year with about 2,000 new patients seen in gastroenterology clinics.
Responsibilities
* Provide excellent Gastroenterology and Hepatology inpatient care.
* Deliver an outpatient service, attending two out‑patient clinics per week.
* Support inpatient ward rounds with consultant supervision.
* Perform one training endoscopy list per week.
* Support out‑patient clinics and endoscopy lists as required.
* Adapt to service needs with flexibility; further training in hepatology, nutrition, endoscopy, etc. is available.
Qualifications & Experience
* UK or overseas doctor seeking training and clinical experience.
* Service post suitable for doctors who need more Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine experience before applying for training or a research position.
* Part of the acute gastroenterology service, working with two Deanery‑appointed registrars.
* Support from a team of 2 SHOs and 3 FY1 doctors, with an allocated educational supervisor.
* Research opportunities are available and actively encouraged.
