Job Summary
Working as first point of contact on behalf of the Respiratory NIV and Asthma nursing team and the Trust, dealing effectively and courteously with all enquiries from GPs, patients and other departments, under the leadership and guidance of a senior medical secretary. The successful applicant will be able to prioritise their workload, work on their own initiative as well as part of a team, access all enquiries, and proactively ensure a safe and smooth pathway for all our patients.
Responsibilities
* Complete audio clinical letters and other correspondence as required by the senior nurses and their teams within agreed timeframes.
* Proactively take forward instructions from the medical team, including collating and sending equipment where appropriate, making follow up and new appointments.
* Monitor and ensure clinics are always fully utilised and up to date.
* Regularly use multiple IT systems including EPR, PAS, Sunrise and EDNs, with daily review of the team\'s PTL for validation and new and follow up appointments.
