Overview

We have a full-time vacancy for a Business Support Assistant for the 16+ & Separated Children Seeking Asylum team and a part-time vacancy (3 days per week, Wednesdays - Fridays) for the SEN team. The core focus is to support front line practitioners, enable them to achieve the best outcomes, prioritise direct work with children and families, and ensure timely communications with service users and partner agencies. Successful applicants will work as part of a team, supporting children and families across the county through the delivery of high-quality business support services.

Where location/work base is specified, flexibility to work remotely may be required in line with evolving ways of working. There is a requirement to assist with the delivery of business support within core business hours, Monday - Friday.


Responsibilities

* Monitor admin mailboxes, distribute correspondence and reports, and manage records.
* Provide meeting administration and detailed recording of complex meetings within strict timescales.
* Process financial transactions and input information into the Case Management System.
* Support front line practitioners and ensure timely communications with service users and partner agencies.


What you’ll need to succeed

* 4 GCSEs (A-C), including English and Maths, and excellent keyboard skills.
* Experience of working in an office environment is an advantage.
* Comprehensive training will be provided; opportunities for career development will be available once established in the role.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise with all levels of staff, service users and other agencies. A professional approach, discretion and diplomacy are essential.
* Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a busy team environment, producing high-quality, accurate outputs to deadlines.
* Note: The role will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
