Job Overview
Commercial Blinds are seeking an Assistant Estimator/ Sales Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Commercial & Project departments.
Duties
* Work closely with the Commercial Manager on new tender and quote requests.
* Accurately prepare take-offs from construction drawings and assist in the preparation of pricing proposals to all customers
* Manage and maintain sales documentation, including contracts and project estimates.
* Collaborate with the teams to ensure accurate project estimates.
* Once tenders/quotations are submitted, regularly follow-up with clients to gain feedback, offer further support or find out if jobs are won or lost..
* Maintain an organised database of client information and project details.
* Assist the other members of the team with their duties also as and when required. .
Experience
* Experience in an estimating or sales administration role would be preferred but not essential as full training on Blinds & Curtains would be given.
* Experience of the Commercial Construction industry again would be ideal but not essential.
Skills
* Strong communication skills to effectively liaise between internal teams and clients.
* Working knowledge of computer systems.
* Competent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Ability to be proactive and work well in a team environment.
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload.
* Educated to GCSE (minimum) with good maths and IT Skills
Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: £7.55 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
