We are currently seeking a driven and commercially minded individual to join the Agriculture SME team as an Agriculture Relationship Manager.
The role of the Agriculture SME Relationship Manager is to acquire, retain, and expand relationships with customers in SME Business Banking. You will maximize profitability by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate solutions. You will provide dedicated relationship management with accountability for business development, service, and operational delivery. Credit risk assessment is a fundamental element of this role.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Being an ambassador for HSBC Agriculture and developing the bank’s profile in the wider community.
* Optimizing existing relationships by assisting in the delivery of solutions, products, and services appropriate to meet customer needs.
* Seeking new opportunities and nurturing existing relationships to identify new business opportunities.
* Building a network of active business introducers in the community.
* Adhering to structures and processes for managing credit, operational, reputation, financial crime, and regulatory risks.
* Driving revenue growth through understanding customer needs and adopting a needs-based approach to increase new business.
* Deepening understanding of clients through proactive credit risk assessments and customer due diligence reviews.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
* Experience in a Commercial environment, such as Business/Corporate Banking or Financial Services, is advantageous.
* Agricultural knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
* Proven commercial lending experience with a good understanding of financial accounts is essential.
* Experience delivering excellent customer service is essential.
* Experience using CARM is advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills, with experience influencing others and negotiating effectively, are essential.
* Ability to build effective networks across business areas based on mutual trust.
* Understanding of risk management and compliance with regulatory processes.
* Organizational skills to manage multiple demands effectively.
This is a hybrid position, ideally based in Whiteley. Qualified applicants from the South Coast of the UK will also be considered if they have access to a local commercial office. Some travel for meetings and collaboration will be required.
