Showroom Manager role at HSL Chairs in York. This role involves leading the showroom and home visit service (where applicable), creating a warm, professional environment for the team and customers, and owning the showroom’s commercial performance while coaching and inspiring the team.

Responsibilities
* Lead the showroom and home visit service (where applicable) to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
* Own the showroom’s commercial performance, including targets and KPIs, and coach the team to achieve them.
* Provide a warm, professional, and supportive environment for both your team and customers.
* Recruit, induct and develop team members; conduct regular performance reviews and give constructive feedback.
* Coach the team in delivering exceptional service standards, product knowledge, upselling and cross-selling to maximise sales opportunities.
* Ensure the showroom, team and any delivery vehicles reflect the standards of a premium brand.
* Maintain awareness of local market conditions and competitor activity.
* Handle payments and cash in line with company procedures.
* Promote a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all colleagues, customers, and visitors.
Qualifications & people
* Commercial awareness to deliver showroom targets and KPIs (e.g., average order value, conversion rate).
* Ability to recruit the right people who reflect HSL’s values and deliver effective induction and development.
* Strong leadership to inspire and coach a team to success.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt style to different people.
* Passion for customer service and world-class experiences.
* Ability to identify sales opportunities and drive performance.
* Commitment to learning and development; keep up to date with new products, tools and training.
Additional requirements
* All customer facing roles in HSL require the completion of a satisfactory DBS check.
* Training and development through the HSL Academy at Comfort House in West Yorkshire with guidance from our Occupational Therapist.
