Overview
hVIVO is currently seeking a motivated, versatile and forward-thinking Pharmacy Assistant to join the FluCamp team in London E1 and E14 (mid 2024) on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
hVIVO conducts human challenge clinical trials aimed at potentially eradicating common illnesses like cold and flu or making their treatment easier and more effective. Volunteers are central to our work. Our studies focus on testing new treatments on real people in a safe, controlled, clinical environment.
You will work in a team of Pharmacy Assistants to cover shifts in our clinical trials unit, participating in the preparation, return, and dispensing of investigational products for clinical trial participants. We are currently seeking coverage across various shifts from Monday to Sunday, including day and night shifts, such as:
* 0500-1300
* 0900-1700
* 1500-2300
Main Responsibilities
* Participate in the preparation and dispensing of investigational products for clinical trial participants in accordance with approved protocols and procedures.
* Experience in aseptic techniques.
* Ensure appropriate accountability and storage conditions for IMP to support service delivery.
* Work within hVIVO quality systems and SOPs maintained according to GCP principles.
* Participate in clinical and facility audits to maintain department standards.
* Proactively escalate communications to resolve and improve workflow issues, ensuring all team members are well-informed.
* Actively participate in team meetings.
* Ensure efficient and safe work processes to maintain patient safety.
Skills & Experiences
* Experience in handling, preparing, and dispensing drugs in various formulations.
* Knowledge of ICH GCP/FDA regulations (desirable).
* A GMP background (preferred).
* Experience in clinical research (a plus).
