Your Role And Responsibilities
As part of the Invest Norfolk and Suffolk team, you'll play a key role in attracting new businesses to the region. No two days are the same — you'll have the opportunity to engage with stakeholders from around the world, showcasing the unique strengths and opportunities across Norfolk and Suffolk.
Your responsibilities will include:
engaging with local and national stakeholders to build strong partnerships organising and attending events across the UK to promote the region supporting the team in responding to information requests from the Department for Business and Trade championing our key sectors to help them thrive and grow
This role is line managed by Suffolk County Council. Operational management is provided jointly by Suffolk and Norfolk County Councils, requiring close collaboration across both organisations to deliver on shared objectives.
You will need
The role requires excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to navigate complex political environments involving local authorities, public sector partners, and private organisations. A sound knowledge of regional assets, sectors, and key economic stakeholders is desirable.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and capable working across multiple projects to secure the best outcome for the region. They will also have experience representing an organisation at public-facing events, exhibitions, or delegations — ensuring professional communication of key messages and following up to maintain relationships and drive results.

The team
The Inward Investment team is a small but dynamic group of economic development professionals, working as part of a wider economic development functions across the two counties.
The team operates across both Norfolk and Suffolk, embracing hybrid working to support flexibility and collaboration. Regular travel across the two counties and occasionally abroad is expected as part of the role.
Our typical office days are Tuesdays or Thursdays.
