Overview for Welder/Fabricator role:
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to a growing team of industry experts. The position involves working with both steel and aluminium on a diverse range of projects, ensuring no two days are the same. You will play a key role in new vessel builds, offsite engineering assignments, and custom fabrication projects. The ideal candidate will have prior experience and, preferably, certification in welding techniques.
Responsibilities for the Welder/ Fabricator role:
* Proven experience in MIG, TIG and MMA welding techniques
* Proficiency in welding techniques specific to marine standards
* Hands-on experience with setting, operating and maintaining welding equipment
* Able to complete welding techniques in all positions
* Experience working with steel and aluminium
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control
* Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in welding or fabrication are desirable but not essential
