Kitchen Assistant
Who we are:
The National Autistic Society is the UK’s leading charity for autistic people. Since 1962, we’ve been transforming lives, changing attitudes, and helping to create a society that works for autistic adults and children.
We provide support, guidance, and practical advice for the 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK, as well as their three million family members and carers. Autistic people turn to us at key moments or challenging times, such as diagnosis, education, or employment.
We work to improve public understanding of autism, collaborate with businesses, local authorities, and government to create autism-friendly spaces, better services, and improved laws.
While we have made progress, there is still much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation, and build a brighter future for autistic individuals. With your help, we can make a difference.
What we can offer you:
* Auto-enrolled pension scheme
* Comprehensive induction, training, and development, including autism awareness and conference attendance
* Online staff discount scheme (cycle to work, season ticket loans, shopping discounts, etc.)
* Healthcare Cash Plan
* Life Assurance
* Flexible benefits including salary sacrifice options
* Access to a 24-hour employee assistance program and Headspace App
We are committed to supporting autistic people into work and particularly encourage applications from autistic individuals. We value diversity among our staff and volunteers, especially from under-represented minority groups. Together, we can create a society that works for autistic people.
