The Company
Our client design bespoke electrical and control systems for power generation equipment working heavily with clients in the Oil & Gas sector. The business has a strong reputation and history for quality and service with decades of experience in the sector.
Due to growth in the business they are currently looking to recruit for an Installation & Commissioning Engineer with immediate effect. The opportunity offers a competitive starting with salary with very lucrative uplifts when working at client sites and offshore.
The Role
The role will see you carrying out the Installation & Commissioning of control systems at customer sites through the country and offshore.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Installation and commissioning of gas turbine control systems (Rockwell or Siemens)
* Carrying out factory and site acceptance tests for control systems
* Producing test specifications
* Produce Control Systems Design specifications
* Developing Control software for projects
* Specifying and sourcing electrical Hardware required for projects
* Programming PLC and SCADA systems (Rockwell or Siemens)
* Creating test documentation
* Support of control systems already installed at customer sites
The Candidate
To be successful in your application for this Installation & Commissioning Engineer role you will need:
* A HNC or above in an electrical, electronic or automation discipline
* Experience in programming either Rockwell or Siemens PLCs
* To have strong diagnosis and fault finding skills
* Happy to travel with the role and stay away at customer sites as required
* A UK driving license
The Benefits

* £40,000 – 50,000 basic salary
* The use of a pool van or hired company car when travelling to customer sites
* Healthy uplifts when travelling and staying away in the UK and offshore
* The opportunity to earn £75,000 – 90,000 total earnings
* Optional healthcare scheme
