Teacher of Design Technology

The Richmond upon Thames School (RTS), a dynamic mainstream secondary academy in Richmond, London, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Art, Design & Technology Curriculum Team. 1. Hold QTS and are passionate about Design and Technology education
2. Demonstrate the ability to teach Design and Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4/GCSE
3. Possess a background in Design and Technology, Engineering, or a related field, bringing a strong analytical and problem-solving approach to teaching
4. Have experience or a strong interest in leading curriculum development and overseeing the Design and Technology subject area
5. Are motivated by a strong moral purpose and unwavering ambition for every student
6. Are specialists in their subject, bringing both passion and expertise to the classroom
7. Thrive in a collaborative environment, working with colleagues to refine and share best practice
8. Are committed to innovation, always seeking new approaches to engage and challenge students

RTS opened to 150 Year 7s in September 2017 growing 150 year on year until we reached capacity in September 2021. We are an 11-16 mixed school with an open admissions criteria. The school is co-located with Clarendon School, Capella House School, Richmond upon Thames College and site neighbours Harlequins on the Richmond Education and Enterprise Campus.
