As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers requiring specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Do you enjoy working with data for machine learning? Are you skilled in coding, developing secure applications, and leveraging linguistic skills to enhance SQL and coding knowledge for building next-generation machine learning models? This role focuses on app development, coding, and utilizing Excel and SQL functions in text annotation areas.
We are seeking an Application Engineer in Bangalore, India, to help create, label, and curate data necessary for measuring model accuracy and building automation features. You should be comfortable labeling and understanding data using your technical writing and basic coding skills.
The Application Engineer should be agile, creative, and highly motivated to:
1. Perform root cause analysis using basic data analysis in Excel and SQL on annotations to identify quality issues.
2. Develop high-quality applications to generate annotation examples, and ensure data is annotated and delivered at the prescribed quality and volume.
3. Guide automation improvements to enhance tooling efficiencies.
4. Deliver results according to project schedules and quality standards, maintaining SLAs on velocity, productivity, and quality.

- 4+ years of software development or technical support experience
- Experience scripting in modern programming languages
- Troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
- Experience with agile/scrum workflows
- Knowledge of distributed and enterprise applications
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating systems
- Experience analyzing and troubleshooting RESTful web API calls
