Main duties of the job
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic occupational therapist with a proven background in moving and handling and single-handed care. Working as an independent practitioner, you will assess and advise individuals and their carers with moving and handling needs. The role involves coordinating with a fellow moving & handling OT to ensure and promote safe, evidence-based practices.
Our team is supportive and friendly, offering regular supervision, peer support, and opportunities for further training. The role is hybrid, with flexible working across bases (The Hollies - Midsomer Norton, Keynsham Civic Centre, and Cleeve Court - Bath) and from home. It is a part-time position, 22 hours per week, Wednesday to Friday, during office hours.

Job responsibilities
* Carry out moving and handling risk assessments and occupational therapy assessments.
* Formulate moving and handling plans.
* Arrange provision of equipment and demonstrate its use.
* Conduct postural and seating assessments.
