About the role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to join our exceptional Infrastructure team, playing a critical role in delivering and supporting our enterprise-scale cloud and infrastructure services. You will provide technical expertise, ensuring our cloud platforms are secure, resilient, scalable, and cost-effective. Working closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to support the business cloud-based applications and services.
This role requires on-call availability.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Troubleshoot and resolve Azure-related infrastructure and service issues.
2. Contribute to the design, deployment, and management of Azure-based cloud solutions.
3. Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost-effectiveness, performance, and security.
4. Utilize Microsoft Defender for Cloud and other security tools to assess and enhance the security posture of the environment.
5. Implement and maintain resiliency strategies to meet business continuity and disaster recovery requirements.
6. Manage Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) to support Identity and Access Management (IAM) requirements.
7. Automate cloud infrastructure processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform preferred, Bicep also considered) and CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.
8. Collaborate with development and operations teams to support cloud-based applications.
9. Support and train other team members.
10. Maintain up-to-date documentation and provide technical support for cloud environments.
What we need from you:

* Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer or in a similar cloud-focused role.
* Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Entra ID, Networking, Storage, and Security.
* Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, with a strong preference for Terraform (Bicep also considered).
* Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies and experience implementing CI/CD pipelines.
* Knowledge of networking concepts such as VNETs, VPNs, Firewalls, Load Balancers, and DNS.
* Experience with Azure monitoring and logging tools, including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
* Experience in modernising Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platforms to improve efficiency and performance.
Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills
* Azure certifications, such as AZ-104 (Microsoft Azure Administrator) and AZ-305 (Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions).
* Experience managing and optimizing Azure cost structures.
* Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.
