Senior Emergency Response Officer Location: Thames Valley, Dorset & Wiltshire (Hybrid) - This role involves travel across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Dorset and Wiltshire. The office base will be either Reading (Berkshire) or Swindon (Wiltshire). As a Senior Emergency Response Officer, youll lead a team delivering critical support to people in crisis. Youll be the key link between local authorities, voluntary sector partners and our national emergency response plans. Can you bring calm, coordination and compassion when it matters most? This role is vital to ensuring our services are ready, responsive and resilient across the UK. What will a day in the life of a Senior Emergency Response Officer involve? Leading and supporting a team of Emergency Response Officers. Coordinating emergency responses both on-site and remotely. Building strong relationships with local authorities and voluntary partners. Monitoring performance and ensuring accurate data reporting. To be a successful Senior Emergency Response Officer, what will you need? Strong communication skills and confidence working with multiple stakeholders. Experience managing complex situations and leading teams. Flexibility to work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends. Confidence making quick decisions under pressure in fast-moving situations. In this truly rewarding role, you will be part of a 24-hour on-call rota as potential emergency response duties can arise at any time. Youll need to be easily accessible to the location to attend work meetings and face to face events on a regular basis.
