Behaviour Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Worker to join our supply bank for work in the Huddersfield area.
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will work closely with students, staff, and families to promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning. A key part of being a Behaviour Support Worker is helping students overcome barriers, develop social and emotional skills, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with behavioural needs
Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff to create tailored support plans
Monitor and record progress, ensuring interventions are effective and timely
Act as a positive role model, building strong relationships with students and families
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with children or young people in an educational or care setting
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to complete one
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and solution-focused in challenging situations
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
