Job Title: Refresh Support Engineer
Location : Swindon, UK (On-site)
Contract Type: 3 Months (Possibility of extension)
Day Rate: Up to £210/day (via Umbrella)
We’re hiring a Refresh Support Engineer for a short-term project with a major international insurance client. You’ll be working onsite in Swindon, supporting a large-scale PC hardware refresh for approximately 5,000 users. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced deskside or deployment engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working hands-on with hardware and end users.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and prepare replacement devices and manage shipping.
* Coordinate lifecycle of PC builds in line with project goals.
* Keep deployment schedule and project team updated.
* Update asset management systems post-deployment.
* Book couriers and ensure correct documentation for shipped machines.
* Occasionally deliver devices on-site and support end users.
* Assist with asset stock counts and audits.
* Suggest and support project process improvements.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience in PC builds, refresh, or deskside support (Windows 11).
* Familiar with M365, Autopilot, Intune, or ServiceNow (training available).
* Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to follow governance processes.
* Awareness of GDPR and data handling best practices.
* Proactive team player who works well under pressure and can prioritise tasks.
