We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Exams Officer (Maternity Cover) to join our successful administration team at The Westminster School—a Special School catering for 300 pupils aged 7 to 19 years with moderate learning difficulties. This is a temporary position to cover a period of maternity leave, and we are looking for someone who can quickly integrate into our team and maintain the high standards required during this vital time in the academic year. We are looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented, and IT-literate individual with strong administrative experience and GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C (or equivalent). Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and manage pressure during busy examination periods. While previous experience as an Exams Officer would be advantageous, we welcome applications from candidates with a strong administrative background and the ability to learn quickly, as training will be provided. As Exams Officer, you will be responsible for the effective organisation and delivery of all internal and external examinations. This includes managing exam entries, liaising with awarding bodies, coordinating invigilators, overseeing results and post-results processes, and ensuring full compliance with JCQ and other regulatory requirements. You will be working closely with the senior leadership team and the wider admin team, following well-established processes. A flexible and proactive approach is essential, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities to support our pupils and staff during exam periods.
