Quality Assurance Engineer - EV / Automotive / eVTOL - Milton Keynes - £40k to £50kJob Title: Quality Assurance EngineerLocation: Milton Keynes — On-Site (5 days per week)Salary: £40,000–£50,000 (negotiable depending on experience)About the OrganisationA rapidly scaling advanced engineering company working on next-generation propulsion and power systems. With multiple prototypes, assemblies and test programmes underway, the organisation requires a capable Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure components, assemblies and processes meet the required standards as production output increases.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & InspectionConduct incoming inspection of mechanical, electrical and composite parts against drawings and specifications.Perform in-process and final inspection on sub-assemblies and completed builds.Maintain accurate inspection records, traceability logs and non-conformance documentation.Standards, Processes & ComplianceSupport the development, implementation and maintenance of quality procedures and documentation.Ensure compliance with internal specifications, engineering requirements and relevant industry standards.Assist in maintaining audit readiness and supporting internal/external audits when required.Non-Conformance & Root Cause AnalysisInvestigate non-conformances, determine root causes and work with engineering/production to implement corrective and preventive actions.Coordinate the closure of NCRs and ensure timely resolution of quality issues.Track recurring issues and support long-term process improvements.Supplier QualitySupport supplier quality activities including incoming quality checks, reporting supplier issues and providing feedback.Work with procurement and suppliers to resolve quality concerns and improve delivered part performance.Documentation & ReportingInterpret engineering drawings, BoMs, tolerances and specifications accurately.Produce quality reports, inspection summaries and build sign-off documentation.Maintain up-to-date quality records, calibration logs and inspection tools/equipment.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with engineering, production, procurement and test teams to ensure quality requirements are understood and met.Provide quality input during design reviews, build planning and engineering change processes.Support build readiness by ensuring documentation, standards and inspection criteria are in place.Qualifications & ExperienceProven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, Quality Inspector, or similar role.Background in aerospace, motorsport, engineering, manufacturing or complex electromechanical systems.Strong understanding of inspection techniques, measurement tools, tolerances and engineering drawings.Experience with NCR management, root cause analysis and corrective action processes.Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100 or other relevant quality standards (preferred but not essential).Competent with documentation control, inspection reporting and traceability systems.Full UK driving licence preferred.If this is of interest please apply on LinkedIn or email dan.avila@everec.co.uk
