About the role
An exciting opportunity has arose to join the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) team. The team is a small team which provides support to external organisations who are approved as a CSAS organisation and to their staff who are accredited with limited police powers, specifically tackling anti‑social behaviour, community safety and traffic management. The team covers the whole of Devon and Cornwall where each CSAS Development Officer has their own dedicated geographical area. Please see the role description for a full explanation of the responsibilities and duties of the role.
The role is diverse and each day can be different, whether this is delivering training, taking an organisation through the application process, marketing the scheme to partnership working. This role requires someone who can work well as part of a small team, supporting each other as needed to ensure resilience, but who can also work on their own initiative with limited supervision. The team sits within the Citizens in Policing workstream. The current vacant role is to cover the geographical area of South Devon and Plymouth but the base station does not necessarily have to be within this area and can be negotiated prior to accepting the role.
