Overview
We will make Trafford a place powered by creative and cultural activity which improves lives and life chances. Reporting to the Director of Cultural Transformation, this role will play a part in helping to activate this exciting vision, which sits at the heart of Trafford Council's Cultural Strategy, 2023-2028. Several workstreams are now live, including the Cultural Transformation Hub, Our Creative Lives which is enabling communities to come together to share existing and suggest new programmes of creative activity which will enable more people across Trafford to enjoy a creative and cultural life, the shaping of a heritage framework for Trafford, the development of an online listings platform called Trafford Is, and a focus on creative health. Your main priorities
Responsibilities
* Providing an effective and efficient administrative and finance support function to the Director of Cultural Transformation.
* Working collaboratively with colleagues, partners and other stakeholders to meet the Cultural Strategy activation needs, ensuring seamless coordination between the live workstreams and delivery.
You will be excited by the vision of the Cultural Strategy, and keen to play your part in bringing the vision to life. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all participants at all levels, including in written, verbal and electronic formats. You bring proven experience in administrative and/or business support roles, preferably within a cultural or creative setting, which you have knowledge of or interest in. You enjoy exercising your strong organisational skills, including servicing meetings and minute-taking, have a keen eye for detail and the ability to deliver to competing deadlines within appropriate timescales. You are able to prioritise your workload and manage your time, and work well as part of a team as well as on your own initiative.
