Role Summary
Structural mass spectrometry (MS) scientist to join the Astbury Centre for Structural Molecular Biology (ACSMB). Working with state‑of‑the‑art equipment, develop and apply hydrogen‑deuterium exchange‑MS, native MS, chemical crosslinking‑MS, and proteomics approaches to support research in biomedical discovery.
Responsibilities
 * Plan, optimise, and execute sample preparation and MS method development.
 * Acquire, process, and interpret MS data for structural biology projects.
 * Provide expert guidance, training, and advice to the facility team and external partners.
 * Collaborate closely with the wider MS community and facility staff.
Qualifications
 * PhD (or close to completion) in chemistry, biochemistry, analytical science, structural molecular biology or related discipline.
 * Experience with at least one structural MS method.
 * Passion for studying biological mechanisms relevant to human disease.
 * Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Suitable for the Skilled Worker visa route; first‑time applicants may need to qualify for salary concessions. Global Talent visa eligibility will be considered for research/academic posts.
