Junior Mechanical Engineer – Building Services

Established for over 25 years, they have built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality, innovative design solutions across multiple sectors. The Manchester office has grown steadily and has considerable experience working on city centre and out-of-town multi-storey commercial offices, new builds, and refurbishments across a variety of sectors.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join a collaborative and supportive consultancy where you’ll gain hands-on project experience, professional development, and clear progression opportunities.
What you’ll be doing
* Assisting the design team in delivering mechanical building services projects from concept through to detailed design
* Learning and developing skills using software packages such as AutoCAD, Revit, and IES/Hevacomp
* Working alongside architects, surveyors, and contractors to gain an understanding of how projects are delivered
* Supporting the preparation of drawings, specifications, and calculations
* Attending site visits and team meetings to see designs come to life
* Gaining knowledge of sustainable design practices, including low-carbon and energy-efficient systems
What we’re looking for
* A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
* Minimum 1 year experience
* A genuine interest in building services design and sustainable engineering solutions
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
