What will I be doing?
Your day-to-day work will involve:
* Work with children and families to complete assessments, reflecting individual circumstances, needs, risk, strengths and protective factors, to develop meaningful plans to protect children from significant harm and secure appropriate multi‑agency support.
* Be responsible for a caseload of varying complexity, granting and responding to referrals from a range of sources.
* Assess the needs of children and families under the statutory frameworks, liaising and working with partner agencies and other Children’s Services teams as required.
* Participate in a duty rota, responding to crisis situations and supporting children to remain safely within their families.
* Enable and empower individuals, families and carers to address issues affecting their health, financial, emotional and social wellbeing and to achieve and sustain positive change.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
You will need to be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England and have experience working with children and families in social work. You should be passionate about relationship‑based social work, proud of your profession, and able to reflect and think creatively about how you can build relationships to make a difference to children and families.
