We work in partnership with schools, community groups and volunteers to deliver hands-on projects in conservation, climate education and community regeneration. Our Branching Out strategy highlights the need for stronger communications to build a wider audience, inspire the next generation, and ensure our work is clearly understood and valued. This role has been created to deliver that goal.

Purpose of the Role

The Publicity & Communications Officer will take the lead in developing a clear and coherent communications strategy. They will strengthen ATU's brand identity, manage all publicity and PR, and ensure our work is communicated in a way that grows our reach, engages new and existing audiences, and empowers young people and communities to take action on the climate and nature crises.

Article 12.8 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals states that by 2030, people everywhere should have the relevant information and awareness for sustainable development and lifestyles in harmony with nature. This post directly contributes to that ambition by ensuring ATU's messaging is clear, compelling and far-reaching.
