Are you an experienced and motivated High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) ready to make a real impact in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are proud to be partnering with a specialist SEN school in Walsall, currently looking for a dedicated High Level Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time role will begin in October 2025 and continue through to July 2026.

The Role

Full-time HLTA position
*
Deliver small group interventions and occasionally cover whole-class teaching when required
*
Support teachers in planning and adapting lessons to meet individual pupil needs
*
Provide one-to-one and group support to pupils with SEN, promoting independence and confidence
*
Help create an engaging, inclusive, and positive learning environment
*
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and external professionals to support pupil progress
About You
*
HLTA status (or equivalent qualification/experience)
*
Experience supporting pupils with SEN in a mainstream or specialist setting
*
Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
*
Ability to deliver interventions and step into whole-class teaching when needed
*

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is previous experience working in a primary school setting.
