We are currently looking for a Technical Product Support Manager to join our Commercial team in the Midlands. The role focuses on ensuring development is directed towards profitable products with a confirmed market and predicted profitability. Working closely with Marketing, Operations, Commercial, Procurement, Customers, and Technical teams, this role will support product rollout and provide technical guidance/expertise to add value for the business and customers, especially when issues arise.
This is a regional role covering the Midlands, ideally based out of The Hub at Tarmac Mountsorrel, near Loughborough. Other sites across the region include Leicester, Burton upon Trent, Nottingham, Derby, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, or Coventry.

Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the Area Commercial Manager, the Technical Product Support Manager will:
* Ensure knowledge transfer across regions on slow-moving stock solutions, from technical and end-user perspectives
* Liaise with Local Authorities, Key Contractors, and National Contracts to increase VAP sales
* Promote VAP based on national and local targets and projected profit
* Support the development and trial of new products
* Ensure successful regional product launches and monitor sales progress
* Assist in reviewing and supporting Accredited Contractors and their use of Tarmac VAPs
* Facilitate faster market access for new products through client approval and contractor guidance
* Support securing supplies for Local Authority Framework Contracts
* Use client feedback to identify R&D opportunities
* Contribute to marketing and communication newsletters
* Represent Tarmac VAPs at industry events
* Lead key commercial training
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
* Knowledge of Aggregate and Asphalt production methods and industry experience
* Understanding of current product availability and testing methods
* Experience in project management, planning, and organization
* Strong influencing and persuasion skills based on factual arguments
* Experience in preparing quality submissions and proposals
* Conceptual thinking with practical problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
* Ability to motivate teams in a matrix environment
* Technical product knowledge and numeracy skills to maximise profit
* IT literacy
* Membership of relevant industry organizations (preferred)
