Were working with a leading technical training provider who is looking for a time-served industry expert to step into an Instructor roleand theyll train you to be a trainer.
This is ideal for someone who:
? Has solid overhead lines experience
? Is physically fit and enjoys practical work
? Wants to be home most nights (Manchester-based 90% of the time)
? Is ready to pass on their knowledge to the next generation
This is not a classroom-heavy rolearound 80% of your time will be spent delivering practical, hands-on training as follows:
* Deliver high-quality practical training in overhead line construction & maintenance
* Support classroom-based learning when required
* Design and develop engaging training programmes
* Assess learners against industry standards (NVQ / Diploma / End Point Assessment)
* Ensure all training is delivered safely and in line with legislation
* Work closely with industry clients to meet training needs
* Support learners to achieve recognised qualifications
We are keen to hear from applicants from the tradesomeone whos done the job and can teach it.
Essential skills:
* 10 years experience in electricity distribution / overhead lines
* Strong overhead line construction & maintenance background
* Previously held (or currently hold) relevant authorisations
* Good understanding of LV/HV systems
* Full UK driving licence
* Physically fit and comfortable working in practical environments
Desirable (but can be developed):
* Teaching / training qualification (e.g. PTLLS)
* Assessor qualification (D32/33 or equivalent)
* IOSH / NEBOSH or similar
